Charles A. Addessi is an accomplished producer, director, writer, and entertainment executive whose career spans more than four decades across film, television, radio, documentaries, and live entertainment.
As founder of Addessi Entertainment, he has developed, produced, directed, and distributed projects that have reached audiences throughout the United States and internationally — including award-winning motion pictures, investigative documentaries, television programming, and large-scale productions for major corporate and public audiences.
His feature directing career began with The Clouds of Magellan (1995), a drama on heroin addiction and rehabilitation heralded by the internationally renowned Daytop Organization as one of the best films they had seen on the subject in over thirty years. He followed with One Deadly Road (1998), starring Burt Young, and Wannabes (2000), for which he and William DeMeo were awarded Best Directors at the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival.
Alongside film, Addessi produced the Latin American music video television series Salsero USA, aired in five East Coast cities, and spent fifteen years as the voice behind hundreds of commercials and industrial productions. In the live-entertainment arena he directed and produced regional-theater runs of The Fantastics, The Wizard of Oz and Grease, and wrote, produced and directed the original stage play Dreamcaster.
Charles graduated from St. John's University in 1982 with a B.S. in marketing, finance and communications. His client roster has included HBO, the American Cancer Society, the American Stock Exchange and Merrill Lynch. Today, his body of work reflects a lifelong commitment to storytelling, innovation, and producing projects that inform, entertain, and inspire.
